GameCity National Videogame Arcade: Trip Year 2

Year 2 have been invited by Rachel Barrett, Education Manager of Game City, to a taster day before the grand opening of the country’s first gaming centre; The National Videogame Arcade in Hockley, Nottingham.

The invitation follows a visit by Mrs Flesher and Mr Booth earlier this half term.

Many photographs will be taken during this day. We are hoping to have the Nottingham Post visit whilst we are there. So be sure to look out for St.Joseph’s  if we do end up in the newspaper.

This is a prestigious invitation and we look forward to our visit on Tuesday 17th March 2015.

More details will follow.

Year Two went to GameCity and showed themselves to be technologically minded, taking part in a variety of activities. The children had the opportunity to design and make their very own game controller using a variety of items, suchas fruit, sweets and plasticine; which they used to operate a variety of games.

The day was packed with exciting and inspiring activities and we look forward to returning once GameCity is officially open.
