Mr M Davies, Head Teacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead

Mr Davies was appointed as the head teacher of St Joseph’s in April 2024, having taught and held leadership positions in various schools around Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire over the past twenty one years.He is currently taking his NPQH with Best Practice Network and is looking forward to an exciting future for the school.Away from school Mr Davies enjoys trying to keep fit in the gym, reading and following the (mis)fortunes of Nottingham Forest with his two sons.

Mrs S Leverington, Oaks Class Teacher and SENDCO

Mrs S Leverington is our Oaks class teacher. She has been at St. Joseph’s since September 2012.  She completed her P.G.C.E at the University of Derby and is qualified to teach children up to the age of 11. Mrs Leverington is currently taking the SENCO NPQ with Ambition Institute.

Mrs Leverington loves writing and reading and would one day love to have a published book.  Outside of school, Mrs Leverington spends her time at the gym, and travelling the world.

Mrs E Cahoon, Hollies Teacher

Mrs Cahoon has also taught at St. Joseph’s since September 2012 having taught in a wide variety of schools beforehand.

She qualified with a degree in 3 dimensional design and then completed a P.G.C.E at Leicester University.

Mrs Cahoon teaches the year 3/4 class for part of the week and also teaches art across the Key Stages.

Miss S Kilburn, Hollies Teacher
Miss Kilburn is our Hollies class teacher. She joined St Joseph’s in 2024 having just completed her P.G.C.E with Sheffield Hallam University. Miss Kilburn is qualified to teach children across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with experience in teaching each of these Key Stages. During her undergraduate degree, Miss Kilburn volunteered with the school throughout 2022 and then came back to St Josephs in September 2023 to complete her Q.T.S.
In her spare time, Miss Kilburn enjoys going to the theatre and spending time with her family and her cats.
Mrs C Vines, Chestnuts Class Teacher

Ms Vines joined St Joseph’s in 2022. She began her teaching career in London, teaching throughout Key Stage 2. From 2016 to 2022, she took on a range of exciting teaching roles across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 in British International schools in Beijing and Taipei, including Year Leader and Literacy Lead in a school of over 600 children.

Having moved back to the UK to be closer to family, Ms Vines enjoys spending her spare time with her husband and daughters, visiting new places and enjoying the great outdoors.

Miss B Bevan, Acorns Class Teacher

Miss Bevan is our Acorns class teacher, having joined St Joseph’s in 2022.  She completed her P.G.C.E at the University of Derby and is qualified to teach children up to the age of 7.

Outside of school, Miss Bevan likes to spend her time travelling and visiting lots of new coffee shops as well as spending time with her family.

Mr D Purdy, Teaching Assistant 

Mr Purdy qualified with a BA (Hons) Fine Art Degree in 2010. He joined St. Joseph’s Primary School in 2011 whilst studying for his Diploma in Special Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools.

Mr Purdy teaches art, speech and drama across the school and is the creative force behind our end of year prize night production!

Becky Priest, Teaching Assistant

Ms Priest qualified as a teacher in 2002 and has taught in many primary and secondary schools in the Nottingham area. She now enjoys supporting class teachers and teaching music across the school at St. Joseph’s. Ms Priest believes all children have something special to contribute to their learning environment which can enhance their own learning and that of their peers.
Out of school she plays the clarinet in the Nottingham Concert Band, takes part in dinghy sailing and enjoys family camping holidays with plenty of walks and bike rides.

Miss Salzmann-Webb, Teaching Assistant

Miss A Salzmann-Webb joined St Joseph's in September 2024 as a Teaching Assistant. She completed her P.G.C.E  at Goldsmith's University in 2023 and is a qualified German teacher who has taught children up to 18. She recently taught at Orleans Park and Cheam High School in London.

In 2020 she graduated from Nottingham Trent University and was awarded a BA Hons, in 2023 she became a SEND Teaching Assistant at Farnborough Spencer Academy in Nottingham.

Outside of school Miss Webb's free time is spent travelling around the world and creating art through photography.

Mrs Shirley De Vivo, Administrations Assistant

Mrs De Vivo joined our team here at St.Joseph’s in December 2014 and will most likely be your first point of contact with our school and nursery. She has worked in administration for number of years and is very much the face of our front desk!

Mrs Charlotte Dable, Business Manager
Mrs Dable joined St Joseph's in November 2023 and is your go-to person for all things to do with invoices and billing. She has worked in school offices for a number of years in a variety of settings.
