Mrs S Leverington is our Oaks class teacher. She has been at St. Joseph’s since September 2012. She completed her P.G.C.E at the University of Derby and is qualified to teach children up to the age of 11. Mrs Leverington is currently taking the SENCO NPQ with Ambition Institute.
Mrs Leverington loves writing and reading and would one day love to have a published book. Outside of school, Mrs Leverington spends her time at the gym, and travelling the world.
Mrs E Cahoon, Hollies TeacherMrs Cahoon has also taught at St. Joseph’s since September 2012 having taught in a wide variety of schools beforehand.
She qualified with a degree in 3 dimensional design and then completed a P.G.C.E at Leicester University.
Mrs Cahoon teaches the year 3/4 class for part of the week and also teaches art across the Key Stages.
Miss S Kilburn, Hollies TeacherShe brings 20 years of teaching experience across the primary age range, with particular expertise and enthusiasm for Early Years and Key Stage 1. Throughout her career, Mrs Thorneloe has undertaken a number of leadership roles, including Foundation Stage Lead, Assistant Head of Years 1 and 2, and Deputy Headteacher. She has also led on Science, Phonics, and Early Reading, as well as mentoring and supporting new teachers and teaching assistants.
Mrs Thorneloe grew up in the Middle East, which has given her a broad international outlook and a love of discovering new places. She is fluent in Polish and has a keen interest in languages. Outside of school, she enjoys exploring the outdoors and spending time with her husband and son.
Miss Bevan is our Acorns class teacher, having joined St Joseph’s in 2022. She completed her P.G.C.E at the University of Derby and is qualified to teach children up to the age of 7.
Outside of school, Miss Bevan likes to spend her time travelling and visiting lots of new coffee shops as well as spending time with her family.
Ms Priest qualified as a teacher in 2002 and has taught in many primary and secondary schools in the Nottingham area. She now enjoys supporting class teachers and teaching music across the school at St. Joseph’s. Ms Priest believes all children have something special to contribute to their learning environment which can enhance their own learning and that of their peers.
Out of school she plays the clarinet in the Nottingham Concert Band, takes part in dinghy sailing and enjoys family camping holidays with plenty of walks and bike rides.
Mrs De Vivo joined our team here at St.Joseph’s in December 2014 and will most likely be your first point of contact with our school and nursery. She has worked in administration for number of years and is very much the face of our front desk!
