Rainbow room

Welcome to the Rainbow Room.

Our little people in this class are aged from 10 months to 2 years.

The Rainbow Class provides a creative and enriching environment offering a range of daily learning experiences. 

We provide the following play areas within the classroom.

• Role play area
• Soft play area (including a light up ball pool)
• Book corner
• Creative area
• Mark making station 

Our staff plan daily activities for the children based on the children's interests and the children's next steps.

All children have a designated keyworker who is responsible for tracking the children's development under the early year's framework.

As we are located in the heart of the city centre we access to all the main attractions such as Nottingham Castle, the arboretum and the new city library which has a fantastic interactive resources and daily music sessions.

The children have daily story and music sessions with access to a range of musical instruments.

The Rainbow Class have their own playground attached to the room with a mud kitchen and mini climbing frames to promote lots of physical development.

The children in the Rainbow Class follow a set daily routine which includes a nap time in a calm and quiet area of the class on their very own mini bed. All staff working in the baby room have completed the safe sleep training, which focuses on the importance of safe sleep with safe sleep positions, temperatures and the environmental impacts.
