Our Learning
Our Topic this Term is….
Transport
We will be learning about different types of transport and the changes in transport over time.
In maths this term we will be…
- Exploring and comparing length and height.
- Talking about time
- Ordering and sequencing time
- Identifying number bonds to 10
- Exploring odd and even
- Exploring doubles.
- Recognising and identifying 3D shapes.
As writers and readers, we will be…
- Blending sounds into words
- Read common exception words (tricky words)
- Form lower case and capital letters correctly
- Spell words by identifying the sounds.
- Begin to write short sentences using capital letters and full stops.
PSHE: we will be focusing on ‘healthy me’ looking at different ways in which we can be healthy.
P.E.: in PE we will be focusing on ball skills, mastering throwing and catching.
UoW: We have looked at dinosaurs and their habitats, as well as what they eat. The second part of the term in understanding of the world we will be focusing on transport, comparing them from past to present, as well as transport around the world.

PE days for The Acorns is Monday.
Homework
Each week, the children will receive homework in their homework books. Each activity is based on what they have been learning about during that week.
Enrichment Activities
Each week the children have the opportunity to read with Breeze the labradoodle, take part in super star sports, have specialist French, art and music lessons and participate in weekly activities in their school houses.
