Academic Performance

At St Joseph's we do not take part in SATs testing, which allows our children to fully thrive in a rich and broad curriculum without unnecessary external pressure.

We use internal assessments published by NFER, which are fully standardised. This allows us to accurately track progress and attainment and plan accordingly as well as enabling accurate reporting to parents.

We have a very strong track record of our children getting places in their preferred schools. In the academic year 2023-24, every year 6 child that applied for an independent school secondary place received an offer from their preferred choice and one child was offered a scholarship at the Nottingham High School. Other children went on to gain places at their preferred secondaries in the state sector.
