ATypical
school day
We start the day for registration at 0855, although
the breakfast club is open from 0730. Then we
have a simple religious Assembly together in the
Hall. On Tuesdays, each of the classes will take the
Assembly and we love to see parents and friends on
these occasions. After notices the lessons start. The
morning lessons tend to be split between English
and mathematics, with a little break for 15 minutes
in the morning. Lunches are cooked every day on
the premises by our award-winning School Cook
and everyone sits together to enjoy the meal. This
community time is very special to us. During the
Lunch Break there might be a club or activity taking
place or perhaps a School Council meeting. At the
end of lunchtime there is a very quiet time in school as
we dedicate time to reading and then the afternoon
activities start. It is in the afternoon that we do our
sport, perhaps at the Ice Centre, the field, the Squash
Club, the swimming pool or in the gym. We enjoy
design & technology, art, music, drama, Religious
Education and the humanities. We have busy days and
we work hard. We have a special Assembly on Friday
afternoons when we enjoy our work and welcome
guests to share in the celebrations.
