Head Teacher’s Welcome Message

Dear Parents and Carers,

I am delighted and honoured to introduce myself as the Head Teacher at St Joseph’s School and look forward to working closely with both yourselves and the excellent staff here to ensure we continue to provide the best possible education and experiences for the children in our care.

I started teaching in Nottingham nearly twenty five years ago and have worked in several primary schools across the county before taking my first Headship in 2007.

I have two children, Emily and Joseph and, as well as being a dedicated family man, I enjoy exploring the Peak District and developing my skills in our new found passion of sailing. In the winter, you may find us skiing but rest assured, even then, my thoughts won’t be too far from the school!

As Head teacher, my aim is to work in partnership with the whole community to move St Joseph’s to being the best school in the area. I believe that we have many great strengths and the relationship between parents, staff and pupils is crucial to the success of the school. By working together we can ensure that children enjoy their time here, make good progress and leave us with the necessary skills and attitudes to be even more successful in later life.

I therefore look forward to meeting with you all in due course, but please feel free to contact me if there is anything you would like to discuss or just to say ‘Hello’.

Mr Ashley Crawshaw

Head Teacher
